COVID UPDATE – we are hoping to start back in September
Before we resume we will be considering the continued impact of COVID and looking closely at how we will be able to manage safety standards and distancing guidelines. Due to the number of enquiries for new students and returning students, we intend on starting two additional classes one on a Thursday morning 10am and Saturday morning 10am. Please let us know if you would like to be on the list for September classes and we will be in contact towards the end of August.

Evening classes are attended 6:45pm-9:15pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday
Morning classes are attended 9:45am-12:15pm Tuesday (Thursday & Saturday New beginners classes)
Please note our current class size is a maximum of 7 students. As classes are at capacity any student missing his/her class must understand that make up classes can only be made if room presents itself on another day. Missed classes are not transferable between terms.
Caution: Some medical conditions may exclude you from attending Leadlight Classes, please consult your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant or are taking blood thinner medication before enrolling.
Over 7 weeks’ beginners will complete two leadlight projects. Students will learn the particulars of cutting, grinding, leading, soldering and putting together a completed project. Ongoing students will continue to be guided in project of their choice. Please note, students wishing to undertake copper foil or glass mosaic classes are encouraged to complete the leadlight beginners course to cover glass safety and learn cutting skills.
What you will need
In the interest of safety all students will need to bring along safety glasses, leather backed gloves for soldering and wear closed toe footwear. Please also bring along a felt tipped marker. Tea and coffee will be provided. Please see picture for reference.
Cost: The full cost of the course for beginners $330.00, this cost covers the all materials that will be used in our first two beginners’ projects and students will also be issued a glass cutter which is theirs to keep at the end of term. Ongoing students fee is $230.00 per term understanding that materials will need to be purchased for your desired projects. Due to a limited class sizes, we ask students to pay a deposit of $75 to secure a place in the class. (This is to prevent people missing out on the class unnecessarily) The balance can be paid in full the night classes commence. Deposits and payments can be made either by EFT or cash.
Private classes are available with Micheal at agreed upon timed for students who wish to receive extras tuition or perhaps cannot make other class times. Private lessons are booked for a minimum of 3hours at $50 per hour. Material are also an additional $20.
