
Term 1 Copper foil and Mosaic Classes

Content/Outcomes
Over 8 weeks’ beginners will finish two projects a copper foil project and a small mosaic. Students will learn the particulars of cutting, grinding, foiling, soldering and putting together a completed copper foil project. Student will also learn the basics of mosaic assembly and grouting a project to completion. Ongoing students will continue to be guided in project of their choice
In the interest of safety, all students will need to bring along safety glasses. They should also bring leather backed gloves for soldering. Additionally, students must wear closed toe footwear. Please also bring along a felt tipped marker. Please see picture for reference.

Student will also need to buy their own tools to use in class. You will need, a Glass cutter $75.00, Grozers $25.00, Metal running Pliers $35.00, Lathkin $6.00. All other tools supplied. A tool kit is available for sale at Ageless $136.00 See information on Supplies page.
Cost: The full cost of the course for beginners is $400.00. This price covers all materials for our first two beginners’ projects.
Our ongoing student fee is $400 per term understanding that materials will need to be purchased for your desired projects. Our class sizes are limited. We ask students to pay a deposit of $100 to secure a place in the class. This is to prevent people from missing out on the class unnecessarily. The balance can be paid in full when the night classes start. Deposits and payments can be made either by EFT or cash.
Please note our current class size is a limit of 6 students. Missed classes are not transferable between terms.
Caution: Some medical conditions exclude you from attending Classes. Please consult your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are taking blood thinner medication. Do this before enrolling.
