At Ageless Leadlights, we’re passionate about preserving the artistry of the past—especially when it comes to the bold, geometric beauty of Art Deco design. Recently, we had the pleasure of restoring two separate Art Deco leadlight windows, each from different homes, each with its own character and story.
Though these jobs were unrelated, they both showcased the elegance and craftsmanship of the early 20th century—and gave us a chance to breathe new life into some truly special pieces.
We began by carefully dismantling the window, photographing every detail, and salvaging original glass wherever possible. The lead cames were replaced with new materials, replicating the original profiles. Some damaged glass sections were re-created using hand-cut, hand-textured glass matched for color and translucency.
While these were two separate projects, both highlight the timeless elegance of Art Deco design—and the value of expert craftsmanship in preserving it.
At Ageless Leadlights, we approach every job with care, precision, and a deep respect for the original maker’s vision. Whether bold and colorful or subtle and refined, these restored windows now shine once again, ready to grace their homes for generations to come.
